Philippe Gautreau, 85, formerly of Pré-d'en-Haut, died Saturday at Foyer Dr. Camille E. Gaudet residence.
Born in Gautreau Village, he was a son of the late Dosithé and Nathalie (Gautreau) Gautreau. A carpenter, he attended Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut. His wife, the former Ida Gautreau, died in 1984.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul Lirette (Angela) and Mrs. Paulette Gauvin, both of Pré-d'en-Haut; a son, Aubert of Pré-d'en-Haut; two brothers, Rosimond of Shediac and Alfred (Fred) of Moncton; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A daughter, Geraldine, and a sister, Alma, died previously.
Funeral mass was celebrated Monday at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook.
